Chris Zirpoli is in his second year as an assistant coach in 2016-17.
Zirpoli has worked for the Philadelphia Union Soccer Schools since 2010. In 2014, he became the operations manager.
Chris is a graduate of Riverside (NJ) High School where he earned various soccer honors including; Honorable Mention All-State in 2001, All Group One, All-County, All South Jersey, and All Conference (Freedom Division). He served as team captain and earned Team MVP honors as a defender.
Chris attended Delaware Valley University (Doylestown, Pa) where he was a 4-year starter as a goalkeeper and ranks second in program history in saves. He also holds the record for saves in a game (26).
After graduation, Chris quickly jumped into the coaching ranks serving as an Assistant Coach at Delaware Valley University and then coached at Holy Cross High School in Delran, NJ. In 2009, Chris helped launch the women’s soccer program at Cumberland County College in Vineland, NJ, where as head coach, his team earned their first ever playoff appearance and featured two Academic All-Americans.
Chris has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Canisius College, and holds his NSCAA National Diploma, NSCAA GK Diploma among other NSCAA, NFHS, and US Soccer licenses.
