Caitlin Chandler begins her secondt season as an assistant softball coach with the Cabrini softball coach in 2014-15.
Chandler comes to Cabrini after spending the 2009 season as an assistant coach at University of the Sciences. Chandler also spent three years as an assistant coach at Friends Central School.
Chandler had a standout career at Division II Slippery Rock University, where she pitched and played first base and outfield. In addition to her prowess in the pitching circle and in the field, she recorded a .302 career batting average and was the toughest Division II player to strike out in 2001, going the entire campaign without striking out.
Prior to attending Slippery Rock, the Cardinal O’Hara alum competed on several travel teams, including Delco Pride, Philadelphia Spirit and Pegasus Softball.
Chandler currently works as the softball manager for Longstreth, a women’s sporting goods company that specializes in softball, field hockey and women’s lacrosse. Â
