Rob Drysdale

Rob Drysdale is in his 15th season as an assistant coach with the Cabrini women’s basketball team in 2022-23.

Drysdale brings 16 years of coaching experience in the girls basketball AAU circuit to the Cabrini sidelines.

Drysdale also coaches with the Lady Running Rebels (Havertown, PA), one of the top AAU programs on the East Coast.  “It has been a great experience helping these young ladies develop their skills and achieve their dreams of playing college basketball,” Drysdale said.

Drysdale previously coached with the Tri-State Tarheels (Marlton, NJ) and served on the organization’s board of directors.

Drysdale draws his coaching passion from his father, Bruce Drysdale, a member of the Temple University and Philadelphia Big 5 Halls of Fame and one of the city's Top 50 players all-time. He was named an All-American and tabbed the Big 5 Most Valuable Player in 1961.

“I learned from my father at a young age just what an important and impactful role athletics can play in one’s life,” Drysdale commented.  “Lessons are not just learned on the court, but off of it as well.

“I enjoy the opportunity to relay this message to my players and help them be the best they can be both on and off the court.”

Rob Drysdale earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Penn State University in 1991 and is currently working towards his master’s degree in leadership at Cabrini.

A native of the Northeast section of Philadelphia, Drysdale currently resides in Newtown Square, PA with his partner Christine Byers and their son Trip.
