In her role as Coordinator of Athletics Student Programing, Runyen will assist in the operation of the Dixon Center Fitness Center and its programming, as well as advise Cabrini’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and coordinate the University’s club sports programs.

No stranger to the Blue and White, Runyen played soccer and basketball during her years as an undergrad at Cabrini.

Runyen, a two-year captain on the women’s soccer team, helped the Cavaliers claim three Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) titles. During her career, Runyen appeared in 78 of Cabrini’s 79 contests, amassing 24 points on nine goals and six assists.

Runyen also joined the women’s basketball team as a sophomore. Runyen capped her 41 appearances with the 2018 CSAC title, the second basketball championship crown of career.

After the completion of her playing career, Runyen moved into the coaching ranks, joining head coach Ken Prothero’s staff in 2018. Since2015, she has also been a soccer trainer with Coerver Coaching, one of the most well-known coaching organizations in the world and focused on individual skill development and small group play.

Runyen remained active in the community during her years as an undergraduate. A four-year SAAC member, Runyen was a co-founder of the Mitch Kline Cav-a-thon, a student-organized fundraiser that raised more than $19,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in its first year.

Runyen was rewarded for her efforts in and out of the classroom, as she was selected to attend the 2017 NCAA Careers in Sports Forum at the NCAA National Office. In 2018, she was also named the Cabrini Athletics Leader of the Year and awarded the Denise Edwards Award, given to an individual (faculty, staff or student) who best exemplifies the spirit of Cabrini Athletics.

The Cinnaminson, NJ native completed her bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education from Cabrini in 2018.  A four-year member of the University’s Honors Program, Runyen earned membership into the National Honor Societies for Education, English and Leadership.
