Anthony Santonastaso was named head men's and women's tennis coach in July 2021.
Santonasataso notched his first career victory at the helm of the Blue and White on on April 11th, 2022, as Cabrini's women's tennis team earned an 8-1 victory over Atlantic East Conference foe Gwynedd Mercy University.
He joined the Cavaliers with a wealth of tennis coaching and administrative experience.
On the court, Santonastaso has led the West Chester East High School tennis programs since 2013. A two-time Coach of the Year, Santonastaso has led the Vikings to a league title, post-season appearances, and league doubles championships.
In additional to coaching at the high school level, Santanastaso has been a member of the PIAA District 1 Steering Committee for Boy’s and Girl’s Tennis.
Santonastaso has also been integral in the growth and development of coaches, acting as the Executive Director of United States. Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Middle States Division, where he develops workshops, conferences and other educational opportunities for the organization that has become a global leader in tennis-teacher certification and development.
Santonastaso is currently the Director of Racquet Sports at the Springfield YMCA, where, in addition to coordinating clinics, camps, team practices, and private lessons, he also oversees the operations of the department.
Santonastaso earned his Associate of Science Degree in accounting at Sussex County Community College before graduating from the Professional Tennis Management Program at Methodist University in 2011 and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from West Chester in 2018.
Anthony is a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional and holds a USTA Sports Science certification as well as a Level 1 Certificate in RacquetFit Body Tennis Connection.
