Luke Apple is set to lead Cabrini's athletic communications efforts in 2023-24. Luke will serve as the primary contact for all of the Cavaliers' athletic programs.
Apple joins Cabrini after spending a year as the Assistant Sports Information Director for the University of Valley Forge. Through his role, Luke honed his skills in NCAA LiveStats for Soccer, Volleyball, and Basketball, as well as PrestoStats for Baseball and Softball. Luke also maintained UVF's athletics webpage and partnered with the University's digital media department to develop social media content. In addition to sports information functions, Luke assisted the Patriots’ athletic department through field preparation, gameday management, and intramural program coordination.
Luke received a B.A. in Sport Management from Messiah University in May of 2022. In addition to student employment during his undergraduate years, Apple attained three distinctive internships prior to pursuing full-time athletic communications work. For the duration of their second season, the American Basketball Association’s Central Pennsylvania Kings used Luke as a public address announcer during home games and a statistician for road contests. Luke performed administrative functions at the high school level, where he assisted West Shore Christian Academy’s Director of Athletics. In his earliest internship, Luke worked for XL Sports World as a facility management and events intern.
