Senior women’s basketball student-athlete Brittany Sandone has been named CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 24.  The senior became the 10th Cabrini women’s basketball player to reach the 1,000 career point plateau.  

Sandone paced the Cavaliers to a pair of victories last week.  The senior tallied 12 points in a 75-40 win at Eastern. The senior’s three pointer 4:35 into the game put her into the record book.  Sandone then posted 19 points as she led the Blue and White to a 73-58 win over No. 25 Widener.

Through five games this season, Sandone leads the Cavaliers with 16.2 points.  Her 1,041 career points currently rank ninth in the program’s history.

Sandone and the Cavaliers (4-1) will return to action on Monday as they open CSAC play with a visit from Gwynedd Mercy University (1-3).  The 2013 CSAC championship rematch is slated to tip at 6:00 p.m.
