Sophomore women's lacrosse student-athlete Sasha Wozniak has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, May 15.
Wozniak was a key factor in the Cavaliers' 12-11 NCAA first round win over Meredith College. The sophomore netted a game high five points on three goals and two assists. Wozniak also added a ground ball and three draw controls in the win.
In Sunday's 15-1 loss at No. 3 Salisbury University, Wozniak recorded the Blue and White's lone goal.
Wozniak helped lead the Blue and White to its fifth consecutive conference title, as well as a 14-6 overall record, including a perfect 9-0 CSAC record. The sophomore was named CSAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year, after ranking second in the league with 85 points on 58 goals and 27 assists.
