Senior midfielder Maura Gordon has been named CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 18, 2011.
Gordon led the Cavaliers field hockey team to victories over Albright College and Neumann University last week.
The exercise science and health promotion major notched two goals in Cabrini’s 8-0 win over Albright.
On Saturday, the Blue and White recorded its first CSAC win of the year, a 6-2 victory at Neumann, due in no small part to Gordon’s play. She recorded two goals and two assist on four shots on goal.
On the season, Gordon leads the Cavaliers with 14 points on six goals and two assists. Her 19 shots are second on the team, while her 15 shots on goal are tops.
Cabrini will return to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Wednesday when they host Immaculata University in a 3:30 p.m. CSAC match.
