Freshman CF Casey O'Connell batted a team-best .588 in six games for the Cabrini softball team.

O’Connell recorded 10 hits in 17 at-bats and posted a club-leading five RBI. She scored seven runs in the six games and notched 12 total bases. O’Connell went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI in Cabrini’s 15-0 win in game two versus Rosemont College on April 27.

O’Connell has started all 38 games for the Cavaliers in centerfield, primarily batting out of the No. 2 slot. She leads the team in batting average (.360), hits (45), sacrifice hits (11) and stolen bases (7).

O’Connell is the third straight member of the softball team earn CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week recognition, following sophomore 1B Angela Shookster (4/20) and senior P Liz Zimmer (4/27).
