RADNOR, Pa. (October 2) – Sophomore Even Hanauer scored two goals to lead the Cabrini College men’s soccer team to their ninth consecutive win with a 2-0 shutout over visiting Albright College. The Cavaliers improve to 12-1 while the Lions drop to 4-5-2.
The Cavaliers took a 1-0 lead with just under three minutes remaining in the first half when Hanauer headed the cross from sophomore
Jason Moran into the left side of the net.
At the 68:39 mark, freshman Matt O’Shaughnessy brought the Albright goalkeeper out of the net and found Hanauer directly in front of the goal for the uncontested score.
Cabrini dominated offensively, holding a 16-3 advantage in shots, with 10 on goal, and recorded six corner kicks to the Lions’ three.
Senior
Joe Rotan paced the Cabrini attack with four shots and two other players each recorded three shots.
With his seventh shutout of the season, sophomore
Bryan Johnson stopped one shot for Cabrini.
In the most recent NSCAA/adidas Poll, the Cavaliers are ranked sixth in the Middle Atlantic Region.
The Cavaliers face Marywood University on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m.
