RADNOR, Pa. (October 8) – Freshman
Stephanie Recklau led the Cabrini College volleyball team with 17 kills as the Cavaliers defeated Rosemont 3-0 (30-8, 30-11, 30-18) this evening. Cabrini improves to 12-7, 4-2 in the PAC while the Ramblers drop to 3-10, 0-6 in the conference.
Recklau finished with a .850 attack percentage for the game with no errors in 20 swings. In addition, she registered one block solo and three block assists.
The Cavaliers tallied 19 service aces on the evening.
In game one, Cabrini jumped to a 10-1 lead before twice building a 19-point edge in the victory.
In the second game, the Cavaliers took their first double-digit lead (14-4) off an ace from junior
Michelle Mola and claimed the win following back-to-back Rambler attack errors.
Rosemont stayed close at the start of the third game, closing the gap to four (12-8) with consecutive kills. A Conahan kill extended Cabrini’s advantage to 10 (20-10) before the Cavaliers won the match.
Cabrini faces Centenary College and Kean University on Saturday, Oct. 13.
