RADNOR, Pa.(February 18) – The Cabrini College women’s basketball team earned a victory over visiting rival Eastern University, 82-57. With the win, the Cavaliers improve their record to 18-6, 13-2 PAC, while the Eagles drop to 4-20, 3-12 PAC.

Deana DiAmico paced the Cavaliers, scoring 15 points and registering five rebounds. DiAmico added nine assists during the contest.
The Cavaliers began the game with a 5-0 run against Eastern, with Eastern scoring their first point off a jumper by Hannah Tobin at the 18:10 mark. The Cavaliers then forced Eastern into a four-minute scoring drought, one of four dry-spells for the Eagles in the first. Cabrini outscored Eastern in the paint and points off turnovers, scoring 12 a piece. Eastern was only able to manage four points each.
The Cavaliers continued to widen their lead in the second half with Cabrini’s largest lead coming at 4:26 remaining on a jumper by
Alyssa Brady. Eastern attempted to close the lead in the last few minutes of play; however the Cavaliers won the game by a 25-point margin.
From the line, Cabrini made 27-of-60 shots from the field, and made 24-of-33 free throws. Eastern managed to connect on 18-of-54 shots from the field, and went 15-of-26 from the line.
Eastern’s Shaneen Brown had a game-high 18 rebounds.
Senior
Sharae Middlebrook contributed seven points and a pair of rebounds in her final regular-season game at the Dixon Center.
The Cavaliers will have the next few days off, returning to action for their final regular season game at Rosemont College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
