CHESTER, Pa. (March 12) - Junior Kelsie LaBauve scored two runs as the Cabrini College softball team dropped 4-2 and 9-3 decisions at Widener University this afternoon. With the losses, the Cavaliers fall to 1-8 on the season.
In the first game, LaBauve led the Cavaliers with one hit and one run in two at-bats. Junior Rachel Davis spent the entire game on the mound, striking out three and giving up three earned runs.
In the second game, sophomore Kristie Sandefur led the Cavalier with two RBI off one hit. In addition to LaBauve, freshman Susan Schmidt and senior Brittany Caprice recorded a run. The Cavaliers tallied three hits in the contest.
Cabrini took a one run lead in the first inning but Widener used a four run fourth inning to take the win.
Sophomore Cheri Johns gave up seven hits in 4.0 innings of play.
The Cavaliers face Rosemont College on Friday, March 14 at 3 p.m.
