RADNOR, Pa. (April 23) – The Cabrini College women’s lacrosse team scored the first five goals of the afternoon before falling to #4 Gettysburg College 20-11 this afternoon. The Cavaliers end their regular season with an 11-4 mark while the Bullets improve to 16-2. As the #1 seed in the upcoming PAC Championships, the Cavaliers earn a first-round buy and will host a tournament contest on Tuesday, April 29.
Sophomore
Erin Nollen led Cabrini with four scores, including three consecutive in a one-minute span at the start of the game, and junior Amanda Alexandrowitz finished with three goals. Senior
Katelyn Penrose tallied two goals and two assists for the Cavaliers.
Gettysburg held a 34-24 advantage in shots and gained possession on 19 of the 33 draw controls.
Both teams turned the ball over 22 times throughout the contest.
The Cavaliers built a 5-0 lead, with four goals coming in a four and a half minute span, before Gettysburg got on the scoreboard at the 17:41 mark. Cabrini answered less than 30 seconds later but the Bullets rattled off six straight to take their first lead (7-6) with just under two minutes remaining in the half. Penrose found sophomore
Danielle Rothermel to set the halftime score at 7-7.
In the second half, Gettysburg used an 11-1 scoring run to build an 18-8 lead with 9:29 on the clock.

Kate Schmid recorded 11 saves in the net for Cabrini.
Jessica Crane led the Bullets with five goals and both Hollis Stahl and Megan Moore scored four.
