Women's Lacrosse Soars Past Cedar Crest College, 19-2

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team remains undefeated versus Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponents following a 19-2 win at Cedar Crest College on Tuesday afternoon. Senior attack Amanda Alexandrowicz and senior attack Erin Nollen each recorded a team-best six points for the Cavaliers in the victory.

Alexandrowicz paired five goals with one assist, while Nollen netted three scores and handed out three helpers. Nollen deposited one goal on a free-position opportunity.

Senior attack Danielle Rothermel posted four points on four goals. Junior attack Jamie O'Hanlon (3G) and sophomore attack Jacky McDermott (1G, 2A) each tallied three points.

Senior midfielder Kellie Levy totaled two points with one goal and one assist. Senior midfielder Lynda Kaufmann and freshman attack Christina Pasquariello each added one goal.

The Cavaliers owned a commanding 39-15 advantage in groundballs. Pasquariello scooped a team-high six, while Kaufmann collected five. Junior defender Courtney Davis notched a club-best four draw controls.

Senior goalkeeper Kate Schmid registered eight saves and allowed two goals in more than 41 minutes played. Junior cageminder Gianna Porretta tallied four stops in the final 18:11.

Cabrini raced to a 9-1 advantage and led 10-2 at the intermission. Rothermel powered the Blue & White attack in the opening 30 minutes, netting three goals. Alexandrowicz and Nollen each scored two goals in the first half.

Following Tara Fikes' marker with 20 seconds remaining in the first half, the Cavaliers ran off nine unanswered goals the rest of the way. Alexandrowicz ignited the run with her third score of the game at the 28:58 mark.

Levy scored the game's final tally with 12:15 remaining.

Fikes and Candace Boardwine each scored one goal in the loss for the Falcons. Devin Ursini recorded 11 saves and allowed nine goals in just over 36 minutes between the pipes for Cedar Crest.

Through four games, the Cavaliers have out-scored their CSAC opponents, 69-25. The 19 goals against the Falcons is a season-best for the Blue & White versus a conference foe.

Cabrini (5-5, 4-0) returns home for a date with CSAC foe Neumann University on Saturday, April 10. Game time against the Knights is set for 11 a.m.
