BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's and women's swimming teams came up short in a tonight's Bryn Mawr tri-meet at the Bern Schwartz Fitness and Athletic Center. Cabrini's men lost to Arcadia University 103-45, while the ladies fell to the Knights 128-64 and host Bryn Mawr College 133-62.
Freshman
Evan Strickland continued his impressive rookie season, notching two more victories. Strickland took the 200-yard butterfly (2:12.75) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.88). Strickland's breaststroke time is the third best in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) this season.
Senior
Walter Jesuncosky, and sophomores
Tim McCann and
Brandon Mazepa also recoded solid performances. Jesuncosky finished second in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle.
McCann recorded second place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle. Mazepa finished second in the 200-yard backstroke and third in the 200-yard individual medley.
The foursome of Mazepa, McCann, Strickland, and Jesuncosky also finished second in the 200-yard medley relay.
Senior
Lauren Sliva led Cabrini's women with a first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (58.27) and a second place finish in the 200-yard individual medley. Freshman Rebecca Barrett also recorded a second place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.

Breaghann Smith, Barrett and Sliva finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Cabrini will return to the pool on Friday when they take part in the Swarthmore Invitational at Ware Pool on the Swarthmore College campus. Events will take place throughout the day Friday and Saturday.
