GLASSBORO, N.J. - The Cabrini men and women's swimming teams concluded their regular season schedules this afternoon at Rowan University. The Cavalier men's team suffered a 90-50 setback, while the Blue & White women's dropped a 99-64 decision.
Senior
Matthew McGuriman led the Cabrini men's efforts with a first-place finish in the 100yd breaststroke (1:03.95). McGuriman also helped the Cavaliers' 200yd freestyle (1:34.90) and 200yd medley (1:47.42) relay teams to second-place performance.
Senior
Bill Boylan notched three second-place times in the 100yd freestyle (50.57), 100yd breaststroke (1:08.85) and 200yd freestyle (1:54.25).
On the women's side, freshman
Breaghann Smith posted a first-place performance in the 1650yd freestyle (20:08.44). Smith placed second in the 500yd freestyle (5:57.42).
Smith also helped the lead the Cavaliers' women squad to a first-place finish in the 200yd freestyle relay (2:06.62).
The Cabrini men and women's swimming teams will compete in their first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships on Feb. 17 - 19.
