Women's Lacrosse Cruises Past Rosemont College, 17-1

Sophomore Christina Pasquariello tallied five points in a 17-1 win against Rosemont College on Wednesday.

RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's lacrosse team claimed its second straight win and its fourth in five Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contests with a resounding 17-1 victory against Rosemont College on Wednesday afternoon. Senior attack Gabrielle Gorbey and sophomore attack Christina Pasquariello each notched five points for the Cavaliers in the win.

Pasquariello led the Cabrini attack with a team-best four goals and added one assist. Gorbey paired three scores with two helpers for the Blue & White.

Senior attack Jamie O'Hanlon and junior attack Jacky McDermott both tallied four points against the Ravens. O'Hanlon scored two goals and contributed two assists, while McDermott netted one score and dished out three helpers.

Senior midfielder Dolores Weathers added two points with two goals. The Cavaliers' offense boasted 11 players with at least one point, including one goal from senior defenders Julie Bonomo and Courtney Davis.

Bonomo and senior midfielder Gianna Porretta each scooped a team-best six groundballs. Cabrini owned a 35-23 advantage against Rosemont in the groundball department.

Freshman goalkeeper Janel Folkomer needed only three saves for her fourth win of the season between the pipes.

The Blue & White blitzed the Ravens in the first half, racing to a 13-0 cushion at the intermission. Gorbey and Pasquariello paced the Cavaliers in the opening period, each netting three goals.

O'Hanlon scored one goal and handed out two assists in the first half.

Bonomo pushed the Cavaliers lead to 15-0 at the 20:01 mark. Cabrini led by as much as 16-0 with 4:02 remaining in the second half.

Junior midfielder Caitlin Edgar scored the lone goal for Rosemont (0-10, 0-4 CSAC) in the loss. Sophomore goalkeeper Chelsea Reeve tallied six saves for the Ravens.

Cabrini (4-7, 4-1 CSAC) continues its CSAC regular season schedule at Neumann University on April 16. Game time against the Knights is set for 1 p.m.
