Women's Lacrosse Coasts to 18-2 Win Against Cedar Crest College

Junior Jacky McDermott totaled five points with one goal and four assists in an 18-2 win on Tuesday.

RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's lacrosse team returned to the win column in emphatic fashion with a resounding 18-2 win against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Cedar Crest College on Tuesday afternoon at Edith Robb Dixon Field. Senior attack Jamie O'Hanlon tallied nine points for the Cavaliers in the win.

O'Hanlon paired five goals with four assists against the Falcons. She has scored at least five goals in seven games this season, including seven of the last nine outings.

O'Hanlon leads the Cabrini attack with 62 points on 45 goals and 17 assists through 13 games. Today's nine-point performance is her second-highest single-game output of the season, following her 10-point performance with six scores and four helpers at the College of Notre Dame on April 2.

Junior attack Jacky McDermott complimented O'Hanlon on the offensive end, recording a season-high five points with one goal and four assists. Sophomore attack Christina Pasquariello (3G, 1A) and freshman attack Kellie Manoppello (2G, 2A) each posted four points.

Senior attack Gabrielle Gorbey notched three points with two goals and one assist. Senior midfielder Dolores Weathers (1G, 1A) and freshman attack Sarah Means (2G) each contributed two points.

The Cavaliers owned a 26-12 advantage in groundballs and 18-4 edge in draw controls. Senior defender Courtney Davis scooped a team-best five groundballs and controlled six draw controls.

Freshman goalkeeper Janel Folkomer needed just four saves between the pipes for her fifth win of the season.

Cabrini put its foot on the gas early and often against Cedar Crest, accelerating to a 7-0 lead less than six minutes following the opening whistle. The Cavaliers led 10-0 at the 20:26 mark.

O'Hanlon scored four goals in the first half and assisted on two more. McDermott posted all of her five points before the intermission.

The Blue & White owned a comfortable 14-0 advantage at halftime.

The Cavaliers opened the second half with three unanswered goals and led 17-0 at the 23:04 mark. O'Hanlon capped the run with her fifth goal of the game off an assist from Pasquariello.

Cedar Crest (2-12, 1-6 CSAC) ended Cabrini's 17-0 with its first score of the game from Leia Epstein with 9:50 remaining. Kenzie Bickhart added the Falcons' second and final goal at the 8:02 mark.

Junior attack Caroline Vaughn capped the afternoon's scoring for the Cavaliers at the 5:14 mark with her first career goal.

Cedar Crest goalkeeper Kim Katsigianis recorded eight saves in the loss.

Cabrini (5-8, 5-2 CSAC) plays its final non-conference game of the regular season on Wednesday, April 20 at Widener University. Game time against the Pride is set for 7 p.m.
