O'Hanlon Reaches Scoring Milestone in 16-11 Loss Against University of Scranton

RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's lacrosse team owned a 9-7 lead at halftime before Landmark Conference foe the University of Scranton out-scored the Cavaliers in the second half, 9-2, en route to a 16-11 loss at Edith Robb Dixon Field on Thursday afternoon. Senior attack Jamie O'Hanlon led Cabrini in the loss with six points, including the 200th of her career.

O'Hanlon paired five goals with one assist for the Cavaliers, reaching the scoring milestone with an assist to freshman attack Sarah Means with 42 seconds remaining in the first half. The goal was part of a 4-0 run to end the first half for the Blue & White.

In 63 career games played at Cabrini, O'Hanlon has totaled 202 points with 131 goals and 71 assists. She is the second Cavalier in two seasons to reach the 200-point plateau, joining former teammates Erin Nollen (294; 2007-10) and Amanda Alexandrowicz (263; 2006, 2008-10).

Junior attack Jacky McDermott totaled four points with one goal and three assists in just her fourth game back from an injury. Sophomore attack Christina Pasquariello notched three points, netting two goals with one assist.

Freshman attack Kellie Manoppello (1G, 1A) and Means (2G) each finished with two points.

Senior defender Courtney Davis gathered a team-high three groundballs and collected three draw controls. Manoppello led the Cavaliers' efforts in the circle with a club-best five draw controls.

Freshman goalkeeper Janel Folkomer posted 11 saves in the loss.

After the Lady Royals opened the contest with two unanswered goals, the Cavaliers responded with a 4-0 run over the next 11 minutes.

Scranton countered with a 4-0 spurt of its own and led 6-4 with 6:29 remaining in the first half. Yet, the Blue & White closed the opening 30 minutes with a 5-1 surge en route to a 9-7 advantage at the intermission.

O'Hanlon netted four goals in the first half in the final 5:52, while McDermott recorded each of her four points before halftime.

After the Cavaliers opened the second frame with a score from O'Hanlon, the Lady Royals seized control of the game with nine unanswered goals over a 21-minute stretch. Sophomore attack Deanna Giorno sparked the run with a goal at the 27:58 mark before senior attack Caroline Pryor ended the spurt with two scores.

Sophomore attack Kaitlin Lazorko led the Lady Royals in the win with six points on two goals and four assists. Sophomore attack Jilliana DePaolera paired two scores with two assists.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kathleen Smart turned away 12 Cabrini shots en route to the win between the pipes.

Cabrini (2-6) resumes its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule at home on Saturday, April 9 versus Marywood University. Game time against the Pacers is set for 12 p.m.
