CHESTER, Pa. – The Cabrini College swim teams continue to post impressive times even in defeat. Though the Cavalier men lost to Widener 86-66 and the ladies fell 112-93, the Blue and White posted several season best times during the meet.
On the men's side, freshman
Evan Strickland continues his impressive rookie season, adding three more wins to his coffers. Strickland posted victories in the 100-yard butterfly (56.74), 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.99) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:23.50). The rookie's times in the breaststroke events are his best of the season.
Sophomore
Brandon Mazepa also displayed a solid effort, tallying victories in the 200-yard backstroke (2:20.11) and 200-yard individual medley (2:19.95) and a third place finish in the 100-yard backstroke.
Senior
Lauren Sliva and freshman
Melanie Felkner led the Cabrini ladies. Sliva posted her season's best time in a second place finish in the 100-yard backstroke. The senior also collected impressive times in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.
Felkner continues to notch solid performances as she finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke.
The Cavaliers will travel to Toms River, N.J. on Saturday, February 4 to compete against Ocean City College, their final meet before the AMCC Championships on February 16-18.
