BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's swim team suffered a pair of losses at tonight's Bryn Mawr College tri-meet. The Cavaliers fell to 1-9 on the year with a 101-77 loss to Arcadia University and 119-65 loss to Bryn Mawr.
The junior duo of
Breaghann Smith and
Courtney Good continue to lead the Blue and White. Smith posted a pair of victories, winning the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:56.62. Later in the night, the junior recorded her second victory, touching the wall in 5:49.61 to win the 500-yard freestyle.
Good recorded a trio of second place finishes on the night. The junior finished the 200-yard individual medley in 2:26.51. She posted times of 1:06.15 in the 100-yard backstroke and 1:18.23 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Freshman
Alexis Drew also recorded a third place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing in 1:12.09.
The Cabrini women closed the meet with a third place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of
Maryellen Jerram,
Lauren Ciccariello,
Elyse Phillips and Smith touched the wall in 2:00.64.
In other action, Bryn Mawr defeated Arcadia 127-56.
The Blue and White will return to the pool this weekend, as they swim in the Swarthmore College Invitational. The two-day event will get underway on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Saturday's action will include morning and afternoon sessions, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
