IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's lacrosse team snapped its two game skid in a big way. The Cavaliers evened their record at 2-2 (1-1 CSAC) with today's 15-2 win at Immaculata University. The Blue and White outshot the Mighty Macs 31-7 in the first half, en route to a 10-0 halftime lead.
Freshman
Lacie Doubet led the Cavaliers' offense with six goals and an assists. Junior
Christina Pasquariello and sophomore
Kellie Manoppello also added four points each on a combined four goals and four assists.
The Blue and White wasted little time opening the score book as Manoppello four Pasquariello for Cabrini's first goal just 78 seconds into the action. At the 20:13 mark, Manoppello found Doubet for the first of her six tallies. The freshman again found the net 17 seconds later on an assist from fellow freshman
Melissa Scanzano.
Midway through the first half, Cabrini extended its lead to 4-0 when Doubet found Manoppello. Doubet then scored three goals in a span of less than two minutes to push Cabrini's lead to 7-0 with 11:41 to play before halftime.
Two goals from sophomore
Sarah Means and Pasquariello's second sent the Cavaliers into the break with a commanding 10-0 cushion.
Sophomore
Ali May recorded her third goal of the year less than 90 seconds into the second half. Scanzano found the scoring column at the 26:45 mark, less than three minutes before Doubet finished her career day with her sixth goal.
Pasquariello completed her hat trick with 11:34 to play, while freshman Victoria Cannelli scored her first collegiate goal with 6:22 on the clock.
The Cavaliers' offense started in the center circle when the Blue and White controlled 13 of the game's 20 draws. Scanzano and Doubet combined to record 11 of those draw controls.

Janel Folkomer stopped 11 shots on goal, while the defensive trio of sophomore
Samantha LaMaina, Cannelli and senior
Katie Slonaker combined to cause seven Mighty Mac turnovers.
Emily Hallett and Katie Cook scored the goals for Immaculata (1-5, 1-1 CSAC).
The Cavaliers will return to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Wednesday when they host Swarthmore College under the lights. Game time is scheduled for 7:00p.m.
