READING, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's lacrosse team fell to 3-5 on the season after tonight's 20-11 loss at Alvernia University.
Freshman
Lacie Doubet posted her fourth hat trick of the season, leading the Cavaliers' offense with four goals.
The Crusaders jumped out to an early lead, scoring a pair of goals in the first two minutes od action. Doubet cut the lead in half with her first tally of the day at the 27:29 mark.
Alvernia responded with five goals in a two and a half minute span to extend its lead to 6-1 less than six minutes into play.
The Cavaliers fought their way back into the game with four goals in the next six minutes. Doubet's second and two goals by sophomore

Ali May posted an unassisted goal.
With Alvernia leading 7-5 with 14 minutes to play before the half, the Crusaders took control of the game. Alvernia scored nine goals before the break, building a 16-5 lead after the game's first 30 minutes.
The Crusaders continued their scoring streak after halftime, extending their lead to 19-5 with 23:30 to play.
Doubet converted a pass from senior
Jacky McDermott with just north of 21 minutes to play to complete the hat trick. After Alvernia's final goal, freshman Sara Carzo added her eighth and ninth goals of the season.
McDermott found Doubet again at the 12:55 mark for the rookie's fourth goal of the day. Freshman

Taylor Carroll added goals in the final minutes for the Cavaliers.
Sophomore goaltender
Janel Folkomer recorded 10 saves for the Blue and White.
Junior Alli Bainbridge led the Crusaders (4-4) with six goals, including the 100th of her collegiate career.
The Cavaliers will travel Glassboro, N.J. on Saturday to face Rowan University. The nonconference tilt is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
