RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's swim team stumbled against Ursinus College today at the Dixon Center Pool, falling 106-61. The nonconference loss drops the Blue and White to 1-12 on the season.
Junior
Breaghann Smith led the Cavaliers with a pair of top three finishes. The junior broke her own school record in the 1,650-yard freestyle, posting a time of 19:43.93 to finish second. She followed that with a third place in the 100-yard freestyle, reaching the wall in 1:01.35.
Junior
Courtney Good took the 200-yard butterfly, posting a time of 2:38.07.
Several Cabrini swimmers recorded fourth place finishes. Freshman
Alexis Drew posted a pair of fourth place results, finishing the 200-yard freestyle in 2:21.03 and the 200-yard backstroke in2:37.12. Junior
Elyse Phillips placed fourth in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 21:45.14.
Sophomore
Becki Barrett added a fourth place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of28.60 seconds, while freshman
Jeanine Kohlbecker placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley, recording a time of 2:44.97.
All told, the Cabrini women's and men's swim teams combined for a school record and 13 personal bests today.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday, January 26 when they visit Swarthmore College. The action scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
