COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Though the Cavaliers notched several season and personal bests, the Cabrini swim teams fell short in tonight's dual meet at Ursinus College. The Blue and White women fell 119-68, while the men lost 125-56.

Christina Melchiorre closed the meet on a high note as the ladies set a new school record in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Their time of 1:45.77 broke the previous record by 1.37 seconds.
Individually, Melchiorre nearly broke the program's six year old 500 yard freestyle record, reaching the wall in 5:33.23 just 0.2 seconds off the mark. The rookie also placed third in the 200 yard freestyle in 2:04.19.
Griffith and Good placed second and third, respectively, in the 100 yard backstroke, while freshman
Bella Badolato finished third in the 200 yard individual medley.
Junior
Evan Strickland led the Cabrini men with a victory in the 100 yard butterfly, his first of the season. Strickland's time of 55.12 was just 0.1 second behind the best AMCC time this season. Freshman
Hassan David Goines Jr. added a pair of second place finishes in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events.
Freshman
Todd Walker, this week's AMCC Swimmer of the Week, scored third place finishes in both the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke. Senior

Chris Ryan also placed third in the 1,650 yard freestyle and 200 yard individual medley, respectively.
The Blue and White return to the pool on Saturday, January 25 when it returns to Swarthmore College's Ware Pool for a dual meet. The action is slated for 2:00 p.m.
