Women's Soccer Improves to 8-0 in CSAC with Road Win

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Cabrini women's soccer team extended its win streak to seven matches today, as it scored a 4-1 victory at Baptist Bible College.  The triumph improved the club to 9-6 overall and 8-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.

Four different Cavaliers found the back of the net, as the Blue and White fired 37 shots on the day. Junior Kaitlyn Cooper led the way with eight shots, two more than senior Gabby Meck and three more than freshman Taylor Tralie.

Cabrini also earned nine corner kicks, while holding the Defenders off the corner.

Freshman Lisette Hrapmann put the Blue and White on the board in the 10th minute, as she fired a loose ball from just outside the Baptist Bible penalty area for her third goal of the season.  The Cavaliers extended their lead in the 42nd minute as Cooper's header found Tralie after a Cabrini corner kick.

The Cavaliers held their 2-0 lead through halftime before extending it early in the second half.  In the 51st minute, Hrapmann's long through ball found senior Melissa Scanzano, who dribbled into the 18 yard box and past the Baptist Bible goaltender for her third tally of the year.

The Defenders notched the scoring column in the 56th minute as Nicole Quick converted a penalty kick.

Junior Dana Peterson put an end to the scoring in the 84th minute when Tralie's shot caromed off the crossbar and fell to Peterson who deposited the ball into the net for her seventh goal.

Freshman goaltender Alivia Dietsch recorded a pair of saves to earn the victory.

The Blue and White returns to action on Tuesday, when it visits Neumann University (4-7-1, 4-3-1 CSAC).  Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Aston, Pa.
