Complete ResultsRADNOR, Pa. - The Cabrini swim teams had a successful evening at the Dixon Center, where the men's and women's teams were victorious in their home opener. The men's team scored a 106-85 win over Pitt-Bradford, while the women scored a 111-82 win.
The men's team got off on the right track winning the 200 yard medley relay. Sophomore
Todd Walker joined freshmen
Nicholas Vivian,
Andrew Michael Stasis and
Rich Giuliani to earn the win.
Walker also posted a win in the 100 yard butterfly and placed first in the 500 yard freestyle. Giuliani scored first place finishes in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events.
Sophomore
Hassan David Goines Jr. added a win in the 200 yard individual medley and placed second in the 100 yard freestyle. Sophomore
Bobby Schmidt finished first in the 200 yard freestyle, while junior
Christopher Ryan placed second.
On the women's side, sophomore
Christina Melchiorre led the way for the Cavaliers. The sophomore finished with first place finishes in the 100 and 200 yard freestyle.
Freshman
Casey Merrill finished the night with a victory in the 100 yard butterfly and added a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle race. Senior
Morgan Griffith won the 50 yard freestyle and added a second place finish in the 100 yard backstroke, while freshman
Valencia Williams took first overall in the 100 yard breaststroke.
The Blue and White is back in action on Thursday when it travels to Glassboro, N.J. to face Rowan University. The meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
