LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – The Cabrini golf team faced Marywood University and Philadelphia University today in the Philadelphia University Tri-Match at the ACE Club. The Cavaliers finished third at the event, recording a team score of 328.
The Cavaliers were led by sophomore
Dan Gentilucci who scored a 78, tied for fourth overall on the 6,702 yard par 72 course. Senior
Tommy Breslin and sophomore
Michael Rojas were both +8 on the day, as they tied for sixth place. Freshman
Shane McIntyre completed the course +18 good enough for 13th place, while fellow classmate
Nick Straub shot 24 over par, for the 15th place finish.
Marywood earned the win scoring 312 on the course, followed by Philadelphia University 327. Marywood's Michael Thomas captured the first place finish after shooting a 73,one stroke better than temmate Nicholas Johnson.
The Cavaliers will return to the links on Tuesday when they travel to LedgeRock Golf Club in Mohnton, Pa. for the Alvernia University Fall Invitational. Tee time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
