SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Cabrini men's and women's swimming teams completed Day Two of the Swarthmore Invitational. The men's team placed third out of six teams, while the women finished third out of seven.

Sophomore Todd Walker had himself a career day, setting new school records in the 1,000 and 1,650 yard freestyle, to go with yesterday's 100 yard backstroke record.

Walker finished in second place in the 1,650 yard freestyle, reaching the wall in 17:46.98, topping Tim McCann's previous record of18:23.41. His record breaking 1,000 yard freestyle time of 10:43.81 came during his 1,650 freestyle performance.  The sophomore  also placed second in the 100 yard butterfly, finishing in 54:21.

The Blue and White men set a new school record in the 800 yard freestyle relay. Rich Giuliani, Walker and classmates Bobby Schmidt and Hassan David Goines Jr. completed the race in 7:33.21 good enough for second place.

Senior Morgan Griffith and  sophomore Christina Melchiorre teamed with freshmen Casey Merrill and Brooke Hagan for a third place finish in the 800 yard freestyle relay, posting a time of 8:41.63.

Griffith won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.40.  Melchiore finished second in both the 100 and 200 yard freestyle, completing the 100 in 56:18, while finishing with a time of 2:02.60 in the 200.

Merrill placed third place in the 1,650 yard freestyle, reaching the wall in19:25.80.

The Cavaliers are back in action Tuesday, when they host Penn State-Behrend at the Dixon Center Pool. The meet is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
