Complete Results RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's and women's swimming teams stumbled against Penn State-Behrend tonight at the Dixon Center Pool, as the men's team fell 151-105, while the women lost 145-112.
Despite the loss, the teams put forth a great effort, as the Blue and White saw two school records fall tonight. Senior
Morgan Griffith and sophomore
Christina Melchiorre made program history once again, setting school records in the 100 yard breaststroke and 1,000 yard freestyle, respectively.
Griffith finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke and reached the wall in 1:10.46, topping Emily Yurick's previous school record of 1:10.70, set back in 2008. Griffith also posted a first place finish in the 200 yard backstroke in 1:23.62.
Melchiorre won the 1,000 yard freestyle in 11:28.71, breaking assistant coach
Breaghann Smith's previous school record of 11:35.13, set last season. The sophomore came in first place in the 100 and 500 yard freestyles, reaching the wall in 56.25 and 5:39.84, respectively.
Griffith and Melchiore teamed with freshmen
Brooke Hagan and
Casey Merrill in the 200 yard freestyle relay, where the team placed second in 1:47.65.
Merrill also scored a victory in the 200 yard freestyle, placing first out of six swimmers in 2:10.41.
On the men's side, sophomore
Todd Walker led the way for the Cavaliers with first place finishes in the 200 yard freestyle and 100 yard butterfly. Walker completed the 200 yard freestyle in 1:51.02 and the 100 yard butterfly in 55.67.
Sophomore
Bobby Schmidt posted a victory in the 200 yard individual medley and finished 2:17.77, while junior
Christopher Ryan and freshman
Andrew Michael Stasis finished second and third, respectively.
Giuliani came in first place in the 100 yard freestyle in 51.18, while also earning a second place finish in the 100 yard backstroke.

Hassan David Goines Jr. teamed with freshmen
Nicholas Vivian and
Ryan Hagan to earn a victory in the 200 yard freestyle relay. The team completed the race in 1:33.94.
The Cavaliers will travel to Bryn Mawr, Pa. on Wednesday, November 3rd for a tri-meet against Bryn Mawr College and Arcadia University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
