ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Cabrini women's swim team made its mark at this weekend's Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. Four swimmers from the Blue and White's team competed against teams from NCAA Division I, II and II. After three days of competition, the quartet finished 13th of 19 teams.

Christina Melchiorre placed eighth in the finals of the 200 yard freestyle relay. The team posted a time of 1:42.78.
Griffith and Melchiorre also placed 25th and 26, respectively in the 50 yard freestyle. Griffith reached the wall in 25.30, just 0.32 seconds ahead of Melchiorre.
In Saturday's action, Griffith placed 33rd in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.66. Melchiorre returned to the pool on Sunday, placing 36th in the 100 yard freestyle, posting a time of 55.60.
The U.S. Naval Academy won the women's event, followed by the University of Pittsburgh and Bucknell University. Navy also captured the men's team title, with Binghamton University in second and Marist College in third.
