Box Score RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team made its reservation for a 17th consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference championship game appearance with today's 18-5 semifinal round win over Immaculata University at a soaking wet Edith Robb Dixon Field. With the win, the Cavaliers improved to 12-5 on the season.
As the top seed, Cabrini will host the CSAC championship game on Saturday at a time yet to be determined. It will face the winner of tonight's second semifinal, pitting second seed Neumann and third seeded Marywood.
Five Cavaliers accounted for Cabrini's goals, led by junior
Melissa Scanzano, who matched a career high with seven points on five goals and two assists. Fellow junior
Lacie Doubet matched Scanzano with a season high five goals.

Bree Thompson and freshman
Sasha Wozniak added five points each, combining for five goals and five assists. Freshman
Jessica Breuning recorded her second consecutive hat trick.

Erin McLaughlin scooped a game high seven ground balls, two more than Breuning and three more than Thompson, Scanzano and junior
Tori Canelli. Scanzano accounted for three of Cabrini's 16 caused turnovers, while Wozniak controlled three draws.

Janel Folkomer earned the win between the pipes after recording a pair of saves. Freshman
Megan Barlow also saw action, posting a save.
The Cavaliers took control early and dominated the opening half, outshooting the Mighty Macs 27-1. Thompson put the Blue and White up in the opening minutes, scoring the game's first two goals. Breuning and Scanzano doubled the lead with 16:37 left in the half before Immaculata scored its first of the day.
Cabrini put the game away in the final minutes of the period, scoring the final eight goals of the half. Scanzano spurred the offense with an unassisted woman-down goal. Wozniak then had a hand in the next four goals, as she converted a pass from senior
Sarah Means before finding Doubet and Thompson for three consecutive goals. Scanzano and Breuning tallied a trio of goals in the final 64 seconds of the half, as the Blue and White extended its lead to 12-1.
Scanzano scored her fifth goal just 64 seconds into the second half before Immaculata ended the streak with a pair of goals. Leading 15-4, Doubet recorded a hat trick during a six minute span of the second half to extend the lead to 18-4 with just south of nine minutes to play.
The Cavaliers are 12-4 in their previous 16 CSAC championship game appearances, including victories in their last four, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013.
