DANIELSVILLE, Pa. – The Cabrini golf team opened its 2014 Fall campaign today at the Moravian College Fall Invitational at Woodstown Country Club. Led by senior
Tommy Breslin, the Cavaliers finished seventh out of 17 teams with a team score of 328.
Breslin fired a five over par 77 on the 6,437 yard course, to finish in a tie for sixth place out of 84 players. Fellow senior
Ted Nebiolo's round of 82 was good for a tie for 27th place.
A trio of freshman also made their collegiate debuts at the event.
Shane McIntyre fired an 84, good for a 37th place tie, one stroke ahead of
Clay Anders. Fellow rookie
Nick Straub finished tied for 74th.
Muhlenberg College carded a team score of 307 to take the team crown, while Messiah College's Jordan Kirsch took the individual title with a round of 74. Moravian's Kevin Kunkle and Muhlenberg's Evan Overcash finish tied for second with matching rounds of 75.
The Cavaliers return to action on September 29 when they travel to Allentown, Pa.'s Lehigh Country Club for the Muhlenberg College Fall Invitational. Tee time is slated for 12:30 p.m.
