CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Cabrini women's soccer team could not seem to get its offense on track today, as the Cavaliers fell to the DeSales University Bulldogs 3-0. The road loss dropped the Blue and White to 1-5 on the season and extended its losing streak to four matches.
DeSales grabbed the lead in the 28th minute and never surrendered it. The Cavaliers attempted just one shot in the opening half to the Bulldogs' eight, but trailed by just a single goal at the break.
Cabrini looked for the tying goal throughout the second half, firing seven second half shots and earning five corner kicks. While the Blue and White could not convert its chances, the Bulldogs took advantage as they recorded goals in the 79th and 86th minutes to seal the win.
Senior
Melissa Scanzano accounted for three of Cabrini's eight shots on the day, one more than junior
Devon Miller, who fired the Blue and White's only shot on goal.
Freshman goaltender
Alivia Dietsch recorded five saves in the loss.
The Cavaliers return to action on Saturday as they open CSAC play with a visit from Cedar Crest College. Game time is slated for 12 Noon at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
