DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Cabrini men's soccer team snapped its two match losing streak with today's 1-0 victory at Delaware Valley College. The win evens the Cavaliers' record at 4-4 on the season.
Sophomore
Kyle Chevalier netted the day's lone goal in the 41st minute with an eight yard volley off a corner kick. The sophomore's second career goal was created from an assist by senior
Christian Martin.
The Blue and White made the goal stand, as it held the Aggies to just two shots in each half. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers recorded 18 shots and seven corner kicks. Sophomore's
Bobby Kane and A.J Bishop led Cabrini with four shots each, while senior
Sean Neary and freshman
Diego Ramirez fired two apiece.
Junior goaltender
R.J. Pino posted four saves to record his fifth career save and third in 2014.
Austin Brotman made seven saves for Delaware Valley (2-4-1).
The Blue and White will have a few days to get health, as the club doesn't return to action until next Saturday. The Cavaliers will host Keystone College (5-2) on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., marking the final game in the day long Homecoming 2014 celebration.
