ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cabrini golf team posted its second impressive result of the fall season, as the Cavaliers placed fourth out of 22 teams at today's Muhlenberg College Fall Invitational at Allentown's Lehigh Country Club. The Blue and White carded a team score of 305, finishing eight shots off the pace.
Sophomore's
Dan Gentilucci and
Joe Myers led the way tying for 10th place out of 113 golfers. The duo finished the day with matching rounds of 75 on the 6,415 yard par 70 course.
Senior
Tommy Breslin finished his round with a score of 77, good for 15th place overall. Sophomore
Michael Rojas finish one stroke behind Breslin to tie for 25th, while junior
Matt Vernot finished 80th.
Messiah College finished with a team score of 297 to take the team title, while Penn State Harrisburg's Keith Miller and Messiah's Jordan Kirsch scored matching rounds of 72. Miller earned the individual crown with a birdie on the second playoff hole.
The Cavaliers return to the links on Friday as they face Marywood and Philadelphia University in a tri-match at The ACE Club in Lafayette, Pa. Tee time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
