HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Cabrini men's soccer team stayed perfect in Colonial States Athletic Conference play today, as it scored a 1-0 victory at Centenary College. With the triumph, the Cavaliers improved to 7-1-2 overall and 2-0 in league action.
Junior
Bobby Kane netted the game's lone goal in the 57th minute, deftly placing the ball between the goalkeeper's legs for his fourth goal of the year. Sophomore
Ben Roda notched the assist, his third helper of the season.
Both teams played a well-contested opening 45 minutes, with Centenary earning a slight 5-4 advantage in shots. The Cyclones also earned six corner kicks to just one for the Blue and White.
The Cavaliers turned up their pressure after the break, earning a corner kick and firing four shots on goal in the opening four minutes of the stanza.
Cabrini showed no letdown after Kane's goal, as the Cavaliers held the Cyclones to just two shots over the match's final 31 minutes, both saved by junior goaltender

Kane earned game-high honors with three shots on the day, one more than both freshman
Nick Hood and junior
Mo Konneh. Serratore finished the day with four saves to secure his second shutout of the season.
Senior goaltender Jesse Goleman suffered the loss for Centenary (5-5, 1-1 CSAC) despite posting a season-high 13 saves.
The Blue and White will step out of conference play on Wednesday, as it travels to Newark, N.J. to face Berkeley College (2-8). Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
