LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Cabrini golf team opened its spring schedule with a fifth place finish at the 11th Annual Webber International University Start 2 Finish Classic.  The Cavaliers recorded a team score of 961, after today's round of 317.  The round marked the Cavaliers' lowest score of the three rounds at the Lake Wales Country Club in Lake Wales, Fla.

The Blue and White opened the 54 hole event with a round of 318, placing it in fourth place after 18 holes.  A second round of 326 dropped the club into a tie for fifth place after the opening two rounds.

Sophomore Dan Gentilucci fired the Blue and White's lowest score of the day, carding a round of three over par, 75, for a three round total of 227, good for an eighth place tie out of 65 golfers.

Fellow sophomore Joe Myers added a round of 79 to yesterday's 80 and 81 for a 54 hole score of 239, tying the sophomore for 28th overall.

Sophomore Michael Rojas paired rounds of 79, 82 and 81 to finish tied for 34th after a total score of 242.  Senior Tommy Breslin's final score of 254 was good for a 46th place tie, while classmate Ted Nebiolo finished 57th with a 54 hole score of 263.

Webber International kept the team title as home, as it shot a three round score of 869 to top Tampa University by 20 strokes.

The Warriors also claimed six of the top seven individual spots, including each of the top five.  William Eriksson earned the top spot after defeating teammates Stuart Winsby and Sam De'Ath.

Cabrini will return to the links on March 18, when they travel to the Out Door Country Club in York, Pa. for the York College Spartan Invitational.  Tee time is slated for 12 Noon.
