RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team rallied from Friday's tough loss for a statement win over Cedar Crest today at Edith Robb Dixon Field. The Cavaliers topped the Falcons 17-1 to improve to 6-5 on the season, including 4-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Eleven Cavaliers marked the score book today, as the Blue and White outshot Cedar Crest 46-8 and scooped 61 ground balls.
Junior
Sarah Carzo matched a career high with four goals and added an assist for a season high five points. Senior
Melissa Scanzano added three goals for her fourth hat trick of the campaign.
Freshmen
Emily Crouse and
Gabby Lee and senior
Lacie Doubet recorded two goals each, while Doubet added an assist. Today's game marked the first multi-goal game for both Crouse and Lee.

Krista Hoffman and sophomore
Jess Breuning and
Jenn Robinson also added goals in the win. Sophomores

Katie Lasater combined for three assists.

Megan Barlow tallied three saves to earn the victory.

Karlie Gruccio led the Blue and White with eight shots on the day, one more than Carzo and Doubet.
Twenty three Cavaliers scooped at least one ground ball in the win, led by Robinson's career high seven, while Carzo and freshman
Alex Petrongolo secured five each. Juniors
Mo O'Connell and
Caitlyn Poole also caused two turnovers for Cabrini.
The Blue and White took control of the game from the opening whistle, as the Cavaliers built a 5-0 lead just 4:27 into the game. The lead swelled to 12-0 at the 14:08 mark before junior Emily Rodenberger put Cedar Crest on the board.
Junior goaltender Nicole Rivera posted 16 saves for the Falcons (0-4, 0-3 CSAC).
The Cavaliers will return to action on Wednesday, when they welcome Immaculata University (5-4, 3-1 CSAC) to Edith Robb Dixon Field for a CSAC tilt. The opening draw is slated for 6:30 p.m.
