Women's Lacrosse Stays Perfect in CSAC with 17-1 Win

RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team rallied from Friday's tough loss for a statement win over Cedar Crest today at Edith Robb Dixon Field.  The Cavaliers topped the Falcons 17-1 to improve to 6-5 on the season, including 4-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.

Eleven Cavaliers marked the score book today, as the Blue and White outshot Cedar Crest 46-8 and scooped 61 ground balls.

Junior Sarah Carzo matched a career high with four goals and added an assist for a season high five points.  Senior Melissa Scanzano added three goals for her fourth hat trick of the campaign.

Freshmen Emily Crouse and Gabby Lee and senior Lacie Doubet recorded two goals each, while Doubet added an assist.  Today's game marked the first multi-goal game for both Crouse and Lee.

Senior Kristina Quintiliani, junior Krista Hoffman and sophomore Jess Breuning and Jenn Robinson also added goals in the win.  Sophomores Allie Vallen and Katie Lasater combined for three assists.

Sophomore goaltender Megan Barlow tallied three saves to earn the victory.

Senior Karlie Gruccio led the Blue and White with eight shots on the day, one more than Carzo and Doubet.

Twenty three Cavaliers scooped at least one ground ball in the win, led by Robinson's career high seven, while Carzo and freshman Alex Petrongolo secured five each. Juniors Mo O'Connell and Caitlyn Poole also caused two turnovers for Cabrini.

The Blue and White took control of the game from the opening whistle, as the Cavaliers built a 5-0 lead just 4:27 into the game.   The lead swelled to 12-0 at the 14:08 mark before junior Emily Rodenberger put Cedar Crest on the board.
