PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – The Cabrini College golf team placed second at today's Immaculata University Spring Invitational at Pickering Valley Golf Club in Phoenixville, Pa.
The Cavaliers have now placed in the top five in each of its three events this spring, including a pair of top three finishes in the last two.
The Blue and White posted a team score of 324, to finish 12 strokes behind team champion Rutgers-Camden on the 6,535 yard, par 72 circuit.
Sophomore
Michael Rojas paced the Cavaliers with a round of 76 (+4), good for a three way tie for second place in the field of 47 golfers. The sophomore finished two strokes behind Rutgers' Kevin Sarlo, who earned the individual crown.
Fellow sophomore
Dan Gentilucci carded a round of 79, to finish tied with two other golfers for sixth place.
Sophomore
Joe Myers added an 11th place finish for Cabrini, shooting a round of 81. Classmate
Matt Vernot's round of 88 was good for a 25th place tie, while freshman
Shane McIntyre finished 31st with a round of 92.
The Cavaliers will return to action on April 7 when they host the Cabrini College Quad at the RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve. Tee time is slated for 11 a.m.
