No. 16 Cavaliers Dominate Neumann in 27-2 Win

ASTON, Pa. – The Cavaliers surrendered the game's first goal then responded with 26 unanswered tallies, scoring a dominating 27-2 win at Neumann University tonight.

The No. 16 Blue and White improved to 9-5 overall and 6-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.  The win also sets up Saturday's match-up against Marywood for the number one seed in upcoming CSAC Tournament.

Sophomore Ryan Hannan and freshman Mike Cinicolo tallied four goals each to lead 15 Cabrini goal scorers.  Freshman Riley Michaels added his first career hat trick in the win.

Junior Ethan Heisman tallied five points on the night, pairing two goals and three assists.  Junior Evan Allvord, sophomore Evan Downey and freshman James Magnani matched Heisman with two goals each.

Senior Tyler Johnston and freshman Nick Vass also posted two points, as each paired a goal and an assist.

The Cavalier fired 54 shots in the win, including a season high 37 shots on goal.  The club's 58 ground balls and 25 faceoff wins also marked season highs.

Senior Anthony DiNenno secured a game high six ground balls and went 8-12 at the faceoff spot.  Junior Chris Schneekloth added eight wins in his eight faceoff chances, while Michaels and fellow rookie Joe Simpson combined to go 9-12.

Schneekloth, Michaels and Simpson also joined senior Eric Streicher, Heisman and freshman goaltender Tyler Morrell with four ground balls each.

Morrell also posted four saves in his 30 minutes of action between the Cabrini pipes, while fellow freshmen Jake Reynolds and Justin Bullivant also saw significant action.

Neumann's Ricky Viscuse put the Knights on the board just over three minutes into the action before the Cavaliers took control of the game.  Ninety seconds later, Johnston found Heisman to even the score at one.  Less than a minute later, the junior just the Cavaliers ahead for good.

Ryan O'Kane also recorded an unassisted goal for Neumann (0-12, 0-5 CSAC), while Marco Agostine recorded six saves in the loss.

Saturday's 3 p.m. tilt against the Pacers (9-3, 6-0 CSAC) will also mark the final regular season home appearance for Cabrini's 13 seniors.
