LANCASTER, Pa. – The Cabrini golf team closed its regular season on a high note today, as the Cavaliers placed second out of 17 teams at the F&M College Spring Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club in Lancaster, Pa.
The Blue and White posted a team score of 298, 14 over par, 11 strokes behind the F&M Blue Team on the 6,450 yard, par 71 course.
Sophomore
Michael Rojas led the Cavaliers with a round of +1, 72 to finish sixth out of 87 golfers. Classmate
Joe Myers also finished in the top 10, as his round of 74 was good for an eighth place tie.
Sophomore
Dan Gentilucci tied for 15th after his round of 75, two strokes better than senior
Ted Nebiolo, who finished tied for 22nd. Senior
Tommy Breslin carded a 90 to finish tied for 73rd.
Al El Kordi-Hubbard fired a -6, 65, to top F&M's Daniel Furman by three strokes for the individual title.
The Cavaliers will begin defense of their 2014 CSAC title on Friday, as they compete in the 2015 CSAC Championship. The two-day event with tee off at 11 a.m. at Philmont Country club in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. The second round will open on Saturday at 11 a.m.
