DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Cavaliers came within 12 seconds of its first win of the season, but after 110 minutes of action, the Cabrini women's soccer team earned a 2-2 draw at Delaware Valley University. The tie improves the Blue and White to 0-3-1.
The Cavaliers fell behind in the ninth minute. Six minutes later, senior
Dana Peterson was in the right spot to corral the rebound off a shot from classmate
Meghan Martin.
Martin's shot bounced off the post and fell to Peterson who put the ball into the net fo rher first goal of the season.
The score remained tied until the 29th minute, when fellow senior
Devon Miller found Peterson for her second goal of the evening.
The Blue and White held its slim lead until the final minute of regulation, when Delaware Valley's Karla Keler knocked in a loose rebound with just 11 seconds on the clock.
Each team posted two shots in the two extra 10 minute periods, with Cabrini recording the only shot on goal.
Both clubs tallied 18 shots, with six of each team's attempts on goal. Despite splitting seven first half corner kicks, neither squad earned one in the second half or overtime.
Peterson and Miller tallied four shots each, one more than Martin and sophomore
Lisette Hrapmann.

Alivia Dietsch notched six saves to secure the tie.
The Blue and White will return to action on Tuesday when it visits Glenside, Pa. to face Arcadia University. Game time is scheduled for 7p.m.
