CAMDEN, N.J. – The Cabrini men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season tonight, falling to Rutgers-Camden 1-0 in overtime. The loss drops the Cavaliers to 4-1-1 in the season.
After 94 scoreless minutes, the Scarlet Raptors netted the match' s lone goal in the fifth minute of overtime, as Connor Hurff collected a loose ball and deposited it into the net.
The Cavaliers were outshot 21-14 on the night, including 12-6 in shots on goal. Junior

Cabrini withstood a barrage from Rutgers-Camden in the second half, as the Scarlet Raptors earned a 15-6 advantage in shots and four corner kicks to just one for Cavaliers.

C.J. Serratore was up to the task, posting nine of his career high 11 saves after the halftime break.
Hurff tallied six shots for Rutgers-Camden (4-1-1), while goaltenders James Brett and Drew Slater combined for six saves in the win.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday, when they welcome Alvernia (2-1-2) to Edith Robb Dixon Field for Alumni Day. Former Cavaliers are invited to take the pitch at 12 Noon, with the current team to face the Crusaders at 3 p.m.
