Meet Results Collegeville, Pa. - After a lengthy break from competition, the Cabrini swim teams were back in action today at Ursinus College. The women's team fell 130-67, while the men's team lost 127-56.
Junior
Christina Melchiorre won the 50 yard freestyle, pacing all swimmers with a time of 26.90.
Melchiorre also joined sophomores
Brooke Hagan and
Candace Brown and freshman
Marissa Loro in placing first in the 400 yard freestyle relay in 4:14.49.
Junior
Moira Prior, sophomore
Kristen Murphy and freshman
Caitlyn Hill swept the top three spots in the 200 yard breaststroke, reaching the wall in 3:05.75, 3:14.48 and 3:44.22, respectively.
Senior
Meagan Kalinoski added a third place finish in the 400 yard individual medley, earning a time of 6:04.16.
On the men's side, junior
Todd Walker was victorious in the 200 yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 2:03.24. Walker also added a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle, reaching the wall in 1:53.05.
Senior
Sean Tallon earned a time of 19:16.57 in the 1,650 yard freestyle, good for a second place finish, while freshman
William Leamon and sophomore
Nick Erick followed with third and fourth place finishes, respectively.
In the 400 yard freestyle Relay, Walker joined classmate
Hassan David Goines Jr. and sophomores
Nicholas Vivian and
Ryan Hagan to capture victory with a time of 3:33.52.
The Blue and White swim teams have little time to rest as they host Widener and Wilkes in a tri-meet tomorrow at 1 p.m.
The tri-meet marks the Cavaliers' final home meet of the season, during which Cabrini will celebrate the careers of its three seniors,
Meagan Kalinoski,
Christopher Ryan and
Sean Tallon.
