RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini and Marywood women's soccer teams played a spirited 110 minutes of soccer today at Edith Robb Dixon Field, but when the final whistle blew, the scoreboard looked the same as it did when the game began.
The Cavaliers and Pacers played to a scoreless draw, the third draw in their last four meetings, keeping both tied for the top spot in the Colonial States Athletic Conference standings with 19 points. Cabrini improved to 7-5-1 overall and 6-0-1 in league play, while Marywood moved to 6-5-2 and 6-1-1 in the CSAC.
Today's action also marked the program's annual Breast Cancer Awareness match. Both teams wore special warm-up shirts, while the Cavaliers also wore pink sock. Proceeds from today's concession stand, 50/50 raffle and pink ribbon sales will be donated to help fight the disease.
Both teams created solid scoring chances, as evidenced by 36 total shots, including 18 shots on goal.
