Women's Soccer Tops Immaculata for 6th Straight Win

IMMACULATA, PA – The Cabrini women's soccer team pushed its win streak to six with today's 2-1 victory at Immaculata University.

With the win, the Cavaliers improved to 6-5 overall and 5-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, while extending its conference unbeaten streak to 36 matches.

Freshman Alex Garces put the Blue and White ahead early, recording an unassisted goal in the third minute of action.

Cabrini carried its 1-0 lead through the halftime break before junior Taylor Tralie added to the cushion in the 52nd minute.  Junior Marisa Christensen found her classmate, who put the ball into the lower let corner of the net for her team-leading fourth goal of the campaign.

The Mighty Macs looked to mount a second half comeback, but the Blue and White defense held firm, surrendering only a 76th minute goal.

Tralie accounted for six of Cabrini's 10 shots in the win, while junior goaltender Gabby LeGendre recorded four second half saves to seal the victory.

Courtney Stinger scored the lone goal for the Mighty Macs (4-8, 4-2 CSAC), while netminder Allie Tracey tallied five saves.

Cabrini will return to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Wednesday, as it hosts Clarks Summit (1-11, 0-6 CSAC). Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
