RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini swim teams suffered a pair of narrow losses to the visiting Marywood Pacers at the Dixon Center Pool. The men lost 93-89, while the women fell 107-98.
Seniors
Christina Melchiorre and
Todd Walker paced their respective teams, as each recorded a pair of individual wins and held the Blue and White secure a relay win.
Melchiorre posted victories in the 100 and 200 yard freestyle events, with times of 56.28 and 2:02.69, respectively.
The senior swam the final leg of the 200 yard freestyle relay, joining junior
Candace Brown and freshmen
Katherine Buckman and
Lauren Finnegan for a winning time of 1:45.57.
Likewise, Walker opened the day's action with fellow senior
Hassan Goines, senior
Robert Schmidt and sophomore
Ryan Brong to capture the 400 yard medley relay, reaching the wall in 3:52.99.
Walker also recorded winning times of 54.73 in the 100 yard butterfly and 1:48.63 in the 200 yard freestyle.
Brown claimed victory in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.64, while sophomore
Marissa Loro's time of 12:10.21 in the 1,000 yard freestyle was good for another Blue and White victory.
Goines also added an individual win for the Cavaliers' men, recording a time of 1:05.80 in the 100 yard breast stroke.
The Cavaliers will head to Wilkes-Barre, PA next weekend, as it competes in the Diamond City Invitational. The two-day event is set to get underway at King's College at 9am on Saturday.
